How to Use the On-Point Calculator
Enter the finished block size and grid dimensions (blocks across × blocks down). The calculator gives cut square sizes for both setting triangle types plus how many squares to cut.
Side setting triangles are X-cut (diagonally twice) to place the straight grain on the outer quilt edge. Corner setting triangles are cut once diagonally. Always cut setting triangle squares with the straight grain in mind.
Approximate finished dimensions are calculated before borders. Cut a few extra setting triangles as insurance — they use little fabric and prevent delays from cutting errors. Square up the quilt before adding borders.

サイドトライアングルになぜXカットを使うのですか？
サイドトライアングルはXカットにすることで、キルト外縁に縦横の織り目が来て伸びを防ぎます。コーナートライアングルも同じ理由で斜め1回カットにします。
